Tend the Well That is You

Empty. Empty. Empty. Gaze into the depth without needing to see anything. Bless yourself in Her waters.

Dear Friends,

We are here, just after the New Moon. For me, the New Moon is not about setting intentions or laying plans. It's about emptying. It's about stillness and silence. It's about the quiet witnessing of what already is, and what is currently in progress.

So often in my life I have been ready to get on to the next thing, push into new territory, stretch the boundaries of what I have felt possible. This year is so different. I'm ready to look at things the way they are. I'm willing to sit in the imperfection of my life, in the half-done tasks, and in the not quite worked out relationships. I'm taking stock of my life, situations, and those things so uncomfortable that they lay undone for years now. At the beginning of this year I am not looking to make new plans, but rather to renew and refresh old plans. To consciously look at all the Gemini things that I've started and work towards making progress. To finishing projects, or if they don't serve, to let them go altogether. To check the boxes of lists so old I can barely read the scribbles.

For me, 2018 will be a year of reckoning. A year of brutal honesty with myself, truthful and loving communication with others, and the reaping of all that is and has been in flux. This year I will set the stage and foundation for the kinds of things that I have just begun to dream about. I'll be Spring cleaning all year. I know that this will bring up much that I don't want to deal with. Exes, finances, cars, messy yards, boxes in the garage and basement, candle businesses, friendships, the health of my body, and of course, my most beloved Cult. I'm feeling strong enough to look at all that I have begun and see what still serves.

The one tool that helps more than anything is the Desire Map. Our third year doing this practice, understanding how I want to feel does more for my clarity than I ever imagined. If you aren't sure how you want to feel, or can't seem to narrow it down to no more than 4 or 5 Core Desired Feelings I urge you to join Gemini Kat in our book club series beginning Monday. The low price and dedicated time are both there to help you get to where you want to be. If you already are clear on how you want to feel and are ready to put some of those feelings into action, then join us for a morning goal setting workshop near the Chinese New Year and Set Yourself Up for Success. Both classes and more are listed below.

I hope for you that you are still in a place of self-reflection. I hope that you are allowing yourself healing and rejuvenating time, however you can fit it in. I wish you peace and grace and stillness, so that the Cosmos may plant her seeds in you, and that come Spring, your inner soils are disturbed by the sprouting of things you didn't know were possible.

With love,
Ginger {aka Rachel Lazarus}
