The Hare in the Moon: Just around the corner

"Rabbits, plinkety, plinkety, plink!" ~Tori Amos

With love and affection we have our last few days of tending the Sacred Well. It's been a sweet time for us. An expansive time, and often an exposed and vulnerable time. And while we are yet a couple of weeks away from actual Spring, we are blinking our eyes, and coming back to our bodies from quite an active dream time. The dreams of the last two months are coming to seeds. Our soils are tilled and we are ready now to allow the glory of our conscious and unconscious dreams to seek the light.

There is a short moment in time, sometimes a split second that we don't talk of much. Don't we, most of us, have the shell of who we think we are? Then something comes and rends our shell open. And from that opening, a new piece of us grows. We're on the precipice of this moment. Trying to keep our old selves together, yet dreaming of the new self, the freed self, the truer self. Over the next couple of weeks, we will become the growing seedlings from our current selves. It is in this spirit that we invite the energies of the Hare in the Moon.

This ancient story from many cultures ultimately speaks of the Hare's willingness to sacrifice itself, so that another may live. In doing so the Hare is recognized and immortalized in the moon. During this theme, we are choosing to be sacrificed so that we may be reborn. For this to be a graceful process, we recognize the need for surrender, releasing our resistance to the patterns of nature and our lives.

With love,
