Greetings, Friend.

I am a being who has always been on the road to self-development.

I thought that if I just figured out this thing or that thing, or changed this or that about myself that I would finally be happy. But I discovered that when I tried to adjust myself to fit better–when I bent and twisted to make things work–I was less than happy.

I was downright miserable.

But when I accept who I am and am honest about what I want, life and relationships just flow more smoothly. When I accept who I am, all the good and bad and beautiful and ugly, I find life opening up to give me more of what I want.

Radical self-acceptance…

Honesty with love and kindness…

Sometimes a kick in the butt…

I want to share this with you.

I offer guidance and tools to those who feel detached from who they are. Those who feel disconnected from their emotions, their bodies, their spirit. Those who have forgotten that they are worthy and deserving of their heart’s desires. That they are enough. Just as they are.

Ready to Dive in?

Madame Moonflower is an oracle, author, Gemini shape-shifter and chameleon, witch, Human Design Projector, psychic facilitator, and a natural red-head with a fondness for herbalism. She is recognized for her down-to-earth approachability and her uncanny insight and intuition. She has a quick wit and sophisticated sense of humor, possesses disarming honesty and integrity, and a sometimes profane mouth. Known by many names in many times and many places, she is most often called Rachel ‘Ginger’ Lazarus, her given names.

Madame Moonflower was born in the foothills of Northern California, with Mt Shasta and Mt Lassen looking on. Aside from her draft dodging years in Canada from the ages of 1-5 years old, she has lived most of her life in California. In true Gemini style, her frequent moves up and down the state waffled between city/suburban dwelling and clinging to the edges of society in small towns and rural communities, which she likes best. Most recently she has left the motherland and mountains of California, and found herself in the unlikely town of Gonzales in Central Texas.

As a Gemini Madame Moonflower’s work is informed by themes like duality, versatility, and communication. Keenly aware of polarity and the ways in which it both detracts from and enhances our experiences, Madame Moonflower has an affinity for shadow work, and is comfortable in the presence of intense feelings like anger, grief, and jealousy. She tries to walk the fine line between self-actualization and fealty of blood family and chosen community, with an understanding that the self and community are both essential to a fulfilling life.

Madame Moonflower is most comfortable in the twilight and has committed herself to holding the portal “Where Shadow Meets Light”. She uses divination as well as ritual facilitation for both individuals and groups to help folx reconcile both their shadow and light aspects with the aim of self-awareness and empowerment, and integration to personal wholeness.

As an oracle and tarot reader Madame Moonflower is known for her ability to connect deeply with her clients, able to cut through initial questions and circumstance to the heart of the matter. Her insights resonate on a deep personal level, and rather than predicting a fixed future, Madame Moonflower’s approach to tarot and divination emphasizes empowerment and self-awareness, helping you understand your current situation and underlying motivations and identify obstacles, with the goal of arming you to make informed decisions about your path forwards. If these qualities resonate with you, Madame Moonflower’s readings might offer you the clarity and insight you’re seeking, particularly if you’re navigating complex situations that require understanding different perspectives.

As a facilitator Madame Moonflower is known for her work with guided meditation and journeying. Sometimes called Soul Retrieval or Shadow Work, she excels in not only finding unique pathways for clients to connect to their deeper selves, she also holds a safe space, tending to the energetics of a room, as well as ensuring clients leave sessions or journeys with their energies intact and tools to ensure they can place their own protective energies around them.

Madame Moonflower has an innocent and unsuspecting nature that to this day plagues her, even with many years of dutifully training herself in critical thinking and despite her unsuccessful efforts to become a cynical skeptic. Her uncle and cousins will probably always be able to flick her nose after pointing at her chest. She will probably always take folx at face value—until given a reason not to. She doesn’t mind though, if it keeps her optimistic about people and the future. While she carries the Star like quality of hope burning in her chest, Madame Moonflower’s strong analytical ability paired with keen intuition gives Madame Moonflower a daggers edge of intellect to cut away the bullshit, and find what matters beneath.

With her north node in Aquarius, Madame Moonflower is deeply concerned with equality and freedom from oppression for all beings. Her personal experience and focus being in the realm of dismantling white supremacy, and eradicating racism from her sphere. Capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy are the locks holding us, (social) media being the medium that keeps us enthralled and in chains in our respective roles. We are the keys. Her approach however, doesn’t fall into the mainstream. She doesn’t march. She is not a man hating feminist. She does not believe in cancel culture. She believes in unflinchingly looking people in the eye. Hearing someone out, without needing to agree with them. Admitting when she’s mis-stepped and being willing to change her mind when new information comes to light. She works to educate herself and apply teachings that expand perspective. She’s willing to let folx know when they’ve mis-stepped, without the need to tear them down and humiliate them. She believes in diversity for the good of all. Madame Moonflower believes that all of our individual gifts are necessary for the unfolding of the world.
